We are so proud of how Theo x Lyra's seven pups are turning out. They are now two years old (2025) and are all excelling in their respective homes and dog sport training (obedience, conformation, rally-o, scentwork and working trials to name a few!)
We do not currently have a next litter planned but recommend that you contact Foxtale Tollers if you are interested in knowing more about our lines.
Choosing a breed and a breeder
As a puppy buyer, please please please carefully research breeders and their dogs. Be an informed buyer. Ask questions. Reach out to others in the dog community. Cross check information. Beware of puppy mills. The foundation genetics and start in life that a puppy receives affects the adult dog they become.
It is always better to wait to find the right breeder and the right breeding for you. Your goals for what you want to do with your dog will influence whether you are a good match for a puppy from a specific Sire and Dam.
Ask the breeder of any litter you consider about the goals of their breeding programme and assess whether their priorities are your priorities: why did they match the parents of this litter and do they have information about the health and titles of the parents (and previous generations). Make sure that both parents have been x-rayed for hip and elbow dysplasia and have undergone genetic testing relevant to the breed. Ask for copies of the test results.
It is important for you and the breeder to have a good connection and for you to be reassured that the breeder will be there to support you and your dog through thick and thin. Be ready to wait and even to search beyond your backyard to find the right match. When you acquire a puppy from a responsible breeder, you also acquire their support and experience throughout the lifetime of your puppy.
We are always happy to answer any questions you may have for us about the breed or our breeding programme.
If you have read the relevant resources section closely and still feel a Toller is right for you and your family, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that Toller litters are rare and meticulously planned - please do not be disappointed if you are faced with a long wait time or if we don't respond to you right away. A well-planned and carefully considered breeding is worth the wait.
